Agricultural Show - Central to Community

All around Australia, small communities play out the annual local show scene, a year round social network for some district residents and a great meeting point for others. The show brings a round of good natured competition, sharing and encouragement.

Getting around our local, country agricultural shows and those more afield, entering our photography, jam, bread and vegetables, Lesley (Yvonne) and I always enjoy the company we find. It's great to meet up with people from our home town as well as others we know from surrounding towns and even from quite a distance. The welcoming warmth of country people is contagious and is in full bloom on show day as they accept us into their community and we all have a good time together.

It seems to me that country agricultural shows are under represented on the internet, so this website is my small attempt to address the imbalance. Not a lot of information; just some show images and, where I can get access to them, the competition results.
